If you really want to see the future of everyday transportation, you have to look no farther than the racing series happening right around the corner. As much for entertainment and competition as it is a testbed for new technology, the highly competitive nature of racing forces engineers and manufacturers to put their best foot forward if they hope to stand out (and beat!) the rest of the crowd. Tesla Motors founder Martin Eberhard and current CEO Elon Musk have quietly settled their legal bickering, kissed and made up. No one’s offering any details because the terms are confidential, but Tesla Motors confirmed that that two men have “resolved their dispute.” That dispute, you’ll recall, started when Eberhard filed a lawsuit in June accusing Musk of taking control of the company, orchestrating his ouster in 2007...

Silicon Valley startup Better Place has signed a deal with Renault to put 100,000 electric vehicles on the road in Israel and Denmark by 2016.
