Zero Motorcycles Recalls 200 Bikes

Zero Motorcycles is recalling about 200 Zero X and Zero MX electric motorcycles with faulty throttles that could become stuck or disconnected. The Consumer Product Safety Commission says the throttle on the recalled motorcycles “can become stuck in the open position or become disconnected. In the ‘Easy’ or the ‘0-25′ mode, this can unexpectedly lead to full power when turning on the power.” Zero says it discovered the problem during recent design review and testing procedures. “As part of this engineering process, Zero recognized an issue with the throttle response on the Zero MX off-road motorcycle and took the initiative to issue a recall notice,” the company said in a statement. “It wasn’t forced on Zero by any external organization, it was…
